Apprenticeships

The AISF has developed a nationally recognised Apprenticeship/ Traineeship program in a partnership arrangement with Murray Mallee Training Company.  Training can be offered to AISF members for apprentices and trainees both in Electroplating and Powder Coating

Apprenticeship training will enable participants to receive on successful completion either

Certificate III in Engineering - Production Systems (Powder Coating)

Certificate III in Engineering - Production Systems (Electroplating)

This is equivalent to C10 in the Metal Engineering & Association Industries Award

Traineeship participants will receive on successful completion either;

Certificate II in Engineering - Production Systems Level 1 ( Powder Coating)

Certificate II in Engineering - Production Systems Level 1 (Electroplating)

Training takes the form of both 'on-the-job' and 'off-the-job' training.  The 'on-the-job' training will be done with a supervisor or manager, and the 'off-the-job' training will take place at the AISF training centre with an industry expert delivering the training.

Training is aligned with the National Metal and Engineering Industry Competency Standards.  On completion a nationally recognised and accredited statement of results and certificate is issued.
